Yeah, it looks cool, but this guitar was built for speed and serious tone. The Jackson Soloist SLATXMG3-6 solidbody electric guitar gives you the performance of a traditional Jackson shredding machine for a fraction of the price. Featuring a basswood body and a clean, simple layout, this axe lets you connect with your music and really focus on your technique. Its neck-through-body design gives you tons of sustain, and its compound-radius fingerboard lets you easily transition from chord work to high-throttle shredding.
This Jackson Soloist SLATXMG3-6 solidbody electric guitar sports a compound-radius rosewood fretboard with 24 jumbo frets. Down low, your fretting hand will appreciate the 12" radius that keeps things nice and comfortable for natural, relaxed chord work. Up top, a 16" radius lays it all out flat for effortless, low-action high-speed runs and monumental string bends without fretting out. You get the best of both worlds with the Soloist SLATXMG3-6.
The Jackson Soloist SLATXMG3-6 owes its great tone and sustain in part to something you won't even notice at first glance: a neck-through-body design. The three-piece through-body maple neck, paired with a rosewood fretboard (adorned with piranha inlays, no less) doesn't just join the body; it's actually part of the body! This configuration contributes to sustain in a big way, since the entire guitar is structurally integrated. The neck even has graphite reinforcement, so it is exceptionally rigid.
You also get two great-sounding, high-output EMG active humbuckers (the classic EMG 81/85 combo). To many players, these PUPs represent the Gold Standard of active humbuckers. Their output will positively pummel the front end of your amp into luscious distortion. But, by dialing back on the volume control, they behave in a very civilized manner while still keeping their clarity and definition.
From Def Leppard's Phil Collen and Rick Savage to James Root of Slipknot and Stone Sour and Derrick Green of Sepultura (just to name a few), some of the most formidable axe-slingers in rock have used Jackson guitars to generate their fretboard fireworks - for good reason! Jackson guitars are designed from the ground up for monster tone, amazing playability, and rock-solid reliability every time they take the stage or hit the studio. Of course, it doesn't hurt to look good, either; if you're looking for a visually stunning instrument to impress your audience and show that you mean business, you want a Jackson.
Included with your guitar is a new UnionStation USB-8E gig bag. This gig bag features a full 8mm of dense foam padding and a heavy nylon exterior. It has comfortable carrying handles, two shoulder straps, and a generous accessory pocket.
This guitar has no player's wear at all, needed no refurbishing, and is free of any scratches or dings. It is discounted because of a tint "blotch" on the battery cover! That's all! You can see it in the final closeup, but it simply doesn't amount to a hill of beans.
